Advanced Validation Labs, Inc. Announces Certification from VIA Technologies to Provide DDR Validation Services

Fountain Valley, Calif -- (May 21, 2001), Advanced Validation Labs, Inc.
announced today that it has received certification from VIA Technologies to
provide the industry with DDR system validation services covering both PC1600
and PC2100 memory modules. This validation testing is required for memory
module manufacturers to be listed on VIA's web site at http://www.VIA.com.tw/company/ddrzone_val.htm.

VIA Technologies. "With AVL's quick-turn validation services, DDR memory
vendors will be able to speed up their time-to-market and end-customers will
be able to verify that their memory modules have been tested for compatibility
with the VIA reference platform."

The VIA-certified system validation testing involves the testing of memory
modules using VIA's reference platform and special software. The validation
test process, co-developed by AVL and VIA, includes thermal testing to
further stress memory modules under test.
