For Release 8:00 a.m. EST, June 19, 2000:
PC133 SDRAM and PC133 DIMM System Validation Services Certified by Intel
Fountain Valley, CA - (June 19, 2000), Advanced Validation Labs, Inc. (AVL)
announced today that it received certification by Intel Corporation to provide
PC133 SDRAM, PC133 SDRAM RLC, and PC133 DIMM system validation services. AVL
customers, PC OEMs, motherboard manufacturers, and memory module manufacturers
will benefit from AVL's one-stop validation services for next-generation Intel
PC133 platforms.
"The addition of PC133 SDRAM, PC133 SDRAM RLC, and PC133 DIMM system validation
further expand AVL's existing RDRAM, RDRAM RLC, and RIMM system validation
services," said Larry Ho, Director of Technical Labs, AVL. "AVL's strategy is to
provide complete memory validation services for the latest memory technologies.
We will continue to work closely with Intel, major semiconductor manufacturers,
PC OEMs and other partners on validating future memory technologies, such as DDR
SDRAM memory."
AVL's founding philosophy of "one-stop" validation services will play an integral
part in simplifying the validation process for industry customers. The one-stop
validation will allow for faster Intel-certified testing and listing on the
appropriate Intel web sites.
"With AVL's comprehensive and quick-turn validation services, DRAM and module
suppliers can begin qualifying their PC133 SDRAM or DIMM module designs today.
These suppliers will then be prepared when the next Intel PC133 platforms are
introduced and ramped up," stated David Zimmerman, Memory Validation and Test
Manager, Platform Memory Operations, Intel.
"With these combined services, a DRAM manufacturer, for example, can validate
their PC133 memory devices and their PC133 DIMMs in parallel, saving time and
cost," continued Zimmerman.
