System Validation Services Certified by Intel

Fountain Valley, Calif -- (May 17, 2000), Advanced Validation Labs, Inc., (AVL) has announced that it is now adding RIMM Module System Validation services to its validation offerings. AVL has received Intel Corporation's certification to provide System Validation testing. This validation testing is required for module vendors in order to be listed on Intel's System Validated web site.

"We will continue to work very closely with Intel to offer complete System Validation services for desktops, notebooks, and servers that will allow for faster time-to-market and simpler, one-stop validation services," explained Larry Ho, Director of Technical Labs, Advanced Validation Labs.

"By having Advanced Validation Labs provide RIMM System Validation services worldwide, the listing process for the Intel validated web site has been simplified for memory module suppliers," said David Zimmerman, Memory Validation and Test Manager, Platform Memory Operations, Intel. "AVL has dedicated significant resources in the U.S., and in Taiwan and Europe in Q3, to ensure faster-cycle validations for OEMs, system integrators, motherboard manufacturers and system buyers. This will guarantee that the modules they purchase have been validated," added Zimmerman.

System Validation testing involves the testing of modules using Intel-supplied validation software on specially verified system boards. Thermal stress testing is also included as part of the validation tests.

Advanced Validation Labs, Inc. currently has operations in Fountain Valley, California. Two new labs will be established in Taiwan and Europe to serve the Asia Pacific and European markets respectively. For information on services, please contact Rhonda Duda, Lab Administrator, Advanced Validation Labs, Inc. at (714) 435-2630 or email [email protected].
